tAscoltare - Gallery (Dubbel)

5 tracks so effectively an EP, but 40 bargain minutes of warped sounds for your delectation. ‘Assassin & Son’ is like the inner workings of a lab operating under its own power with no human contribution. It is cool, Spartan and undeniably exciting as the lack of visual representation gets the cogs whirring as to what they’re concocting in there. ‘On A Natural Charge’ builds the new thought process into a kind of pre-dub cycle, an application of hip-hop vocal samples gradually getting less translucent. ‘The Good Ass Turned Over’ seems to suggest the result of the lab workings is the creation of the psychotic robotic, while ‘Somewhere There Are The Absent’ retreats to a beneath the surface kinda menace. Ascoltare surely are the masters of elusive, but inspirational glitch. Skif
